Project description

The primary study objective is to compare delayed soft tissue grafting (DSG) to immediate soft tissue grafting (ISG) in terms of buccal bone resorption using the following PICO elements:
P - Patients undergoing single IIP in the anterior maxilla (tooth 15-25)
I - Delayed soft tissue grafting (DSG) at 3 months
C - Immediate soft tissue grafting (ISG)
O - Buccal bone resorption
Focused Research Question: “In patients undergoing single IIP in the anterior maxilla, will delayed soft tissue grafting performed at 3 months as compared to immediate soft tissue grafting result in different buccal bone resorption at 1- and 5-year follow-up?”
Secondary study outcomes relate to the same comparison, yet focus on soft tissue changes, aesthetic and clinical parameters.
