Project description

Natural rivers in a flat plain usually follow a meandering path, that migrates both in lateral and downward directions. In this proposal an original methodology for the numerical modelling of the formation and migration of a meandering river is presented, with particular attention for the implementation of an adaptive grid to follow the dynamic adjustments of the riverbed in plan form.
