Project description
In light of the enormous impact of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and clear indications for epigenetic effects, this project aims at the high-throughput identification of DNA-methylation markers involved in atherosclerosis, the principal cause of CVD. Herefore, a combination of ChIP, next-generation sequencing and high-throughput qPCR will be applied, supported by an apporopriate data-analysis, based on samples of the Asklepios study.
