Keywords
diketopiperazine tryptophane proline brevianamide

Project description

The diketopiperazine scaffold is a preferred (sub)structure in a wide variety of physiologically active natural compounds, including brevianamide F (antibacterial), present in Streptomyces and Aspergillus species. The project aims at the synthesis of heterodiketopiperazine analogues with a less complicated structure than the active natural compounds or the synthesis of diketopiperazines with medicinal relevant substituents starting from amino acids.
