Project description

This project explores non-invasive brain stimulation by combining low-intense electromagnetic fields, where focused ultrasound induces threshold exceedances leading to either excitation or inhibition of neural activity. Experience will be built up with detailed numerical acoustic and electromagnetic wave propagation in brain tissue, including the bio-electromagnetic response. Finally, this methodology will be applied to head models, healthy volunteers or Parkinson patients.
