On the basis of a concrete corpus of texts we intend to determine how images of the apocalypse have evolved both thematically and formally in contemporary Hispano-American narrative prose, more specifically that of Argentinië. Chile and Uruguay. The project will also define the function of those images in a post-apocalyptic society (as Monsivais put it).
