Project description

a measurement technique for the heat flux inside internal combustion engines (ICEs) will be developed based on a sensor developed for gas rubine research. changes are needed to make the sensors mountable in ICEs, and to adapt the signal processing. A fuel- and engine independent heat transfer model will then be developed and validated.
