Project description

Partially shaped by European legislation, there are different mechanisms to resolve mass harms: going to court (private enforcement), relying on national enforcers (public enforcement) or out-of-court resolution (ADR and ODR). This research proposal will empirically analyze these mechanisms by looking at how they function in exemplary and previously selected jurisdictions. Building on this investigation, their applicability, effectiveness and efficiency will be assessed.
