This research equipment comprises of a glovebox for the maintenance and manipulation of germfree/gnotobiotic aquatic experimental animals which is a unique combination of a classical type II biosafety cabinet and an incubator. This glovebox is a necessary tool for studying the interactions between micro-organismen (both beneficial (probiotics) and pathogenic) and their aquatic host in a standardized and reliable way.
