Project description

Body odor (BO) is a bacterial problem caused by the presence of the ‘rong’bacteria which transform sweat secretions into volatile malodorous compounds. Our research identified the main bacterial malodor perpetrators in the human armpits and clothes and developed a probiotic treatment both on skin and on clothes. This StarTT aims to further develop, optimize Probiotic Clothing protoypes towards protection against malodor in clothes, to obtain a longer lasting effect and to obtain additional data to strengthen the patent portfolio. A feasibility study and a market analysis will be performed. During this StarTT we will develop and test the business model to bring this technology to the market.
