Project description

The main objective of the PhD research project is to develop a well-founded model to quantify the effect of water spray on smoke movement, particularly in the case of fire in ventilated tunnels. This model is developed on the basis of experiments (carried out at Wuhan University, China). It is applied in and compared to numerical (CFD, Computational Fluid Dyanmics) simulations.
