Project description
Studying and designing chip multiprocessors (CMPs) relies mainly on simulation, which is very time-consuming and offers little insight. The goal of this project is to develop an analytical performance model for CMPs that quickly estimates the performance of a CMP by evaluating mathematical formulas and that offers more insight into the main causes of performance loss.
