Project description
When developing biosensors, special attention is needed with regard to the kinetics of the electron transfer, their sensitivity and long term stability. These problems can be controlled by an optimum immobilization of the enzymes. It has been commonly accepted that the electrocatalytic activity of the enzyme depends on the nature of the bond and the orientation on the electrode surface.
