Project description

Ultradeformable liposomes and ethosomes are synthesized and complexed with siRNA agaisnt myosin Va exon F, an important transportation protein involved in pigmentation. Their size, surface charge and deformability are investigated. Human primary melanocytes are transfected with these complexes to evaluate their biological activity (i.e. their silencing capacity) cytotoxicity and stability in time. Finally their penetration capacity through human skin will be tesetd by means of Franz-diffusion cells and evaluation is done by multiphoton microscopy.
