Project description
Clathrin-mediated endocytosis internalizes plasma membrane proteins to react to various stimuli. In plants, the TPLATE complex plays a crucial role in this, but how it recognizes its cargo remains unknown. This project mechanistically investigates the trafficking of two proteins: SCAMP and Callose Synthase, both known cargoes of the TPLATE complex. Furthermore, this project will address how internalization controls their function.
