Project description

This project focuses on the in vitro effects of irinotecan and 5-fluorouracil on microbiota of the gastrointesinal tract and its lining mucosa using mucositis models and the SHIME (Simulator of the Human Intestinal Microbial Ecology) system. Outcomes will be compared with in vivo results obtained from experiments using the Dark Agouti rat model.
