Project description

Dysphagia and neck fibrosis are caused by high radiation doses delivered to the neck, the pharyngeus constrictor muscles and the cervical esophagus. The present randomized trial aims at reducing these side effects by selective dose de-escalation on radiation sensitive structuresin the neck. De-escalation is made possible by IG-IMRT. UZLeuven, UZGent, UZBrussel en UZAntwerpen collaborate to conduct this trial.
