  At the request of its government, the Language Union wants to develop an instrument to map the position of Dutch in various social fields and to follow in time. Based on the results can be developed if necessary, targeted policies to preserve the position of the glish in the studied social domains or strengthen. In this way, the Language Union can help ensure that Dutch remain a vibrant and attractive language used in all areas of society.
