Project description

Rice is integral in consumers’ diets in the Philippines. However, preference for polished white rice leads to micronutrient deficiency due to the milling process. We study how healthier rice varieties can be integrated into consumers’ rice-based diets through expert elicitation workshops, consumer surveys and experimental auctions. The results will aid policymakers in designing nutrition interventions towards healthier rice-based diets.
