Project description
Khat use is widely prevalent in East-Africa and frequently consumed by women during pregnancy. Research on the consequences of prenatal khat exposure for child development and parenting scarce. Therefore, this project will examine the effects of khat use during pregnancy on child development, maternal mental health and parenting in the Jimma region in Ethiopia.
