Project description
Quorum sensing will be studied under in vivo conditions using a test system with gnotobiotic European sea bss larvae. Working under gnotobiotic conditions is an important advantage avoiding bias by signals produced by non-target microorganisms. In this project it is the intention to link unambiguously an observed effect to quorum sensing of the pathogenic strain under investigation.
