Project description

Acute kidney insufficiency is a major problem in developing countries and definitely in children with a high mortality. This year in the ISN (International Society of Nephrology) mission statement an action plan was included " 0 by 25 " to drastically decrease acute kidney failure in developing countries. In this research project the usefullness of biomarkers in the early detection of acute kidney failure and dehydration will be studied.
