Project description

Since the local elections of 2015, citizen platforms affiliated with 15M (have) governed in many big cities and hundreds of towns throughout Spain. Focusing on Madrid and Barcelona, I investigate how these citizen platforms have intervened in the production of urban space to challenge dominant political-economic configurations and examine their efforts to implement alternative political projects.
