Project description
An urban and topographical study of agricultural and mining settlements during the Punic period. Using state-of-the-art non-invasive techniques (LIDAR survey, geophysical prospection and artifact survey), two Punic settlements are examined: Pani Loriga (Sardinia) Cerro Macareno (Andalusia) with a focus on construction techniques and urban planning. The study aims to extend the knowledge of Phoenician-Punic urbanism to the rural domain.
