Answers will be formulated to the follwowing question:

1. How did the fire start? In which way did the fire develop and how could it spread so quickly over the outside staircase up to the highest floor level and into the apartments?
2. What was the timeline of the fire development and fire spread?
3. What role did the original building style of the apartment complex, the reaction-to-fire performance of the building materials as used or renovation works and/or technical installations afterwards, play for the fire development and fire spread?
4. How was the intervention set up? What was its timeline? To what extent did the fire service intervention play a role in controlling the fire and in preventing physical damage to the people present in the apartment building at the moment of the fire? What are the possible success factors to keep in the suppression of similar future fire incidents?
5. What were the difficulties and risks the fire service experienced when fighting the fire?
