Project description

We want to investigate the role of working memory in arithmetic strategies. More specifically, we will investigate (1) which strategies people use in complex-arithmetic problem solving (cf. strategy selection), (2) which strategies are the fastest and most accurate ones (cf. strategy efficiency), and (3) which role executive and phonological working-memory components play in these selection and efficiency processes.
