Advancements in network communications are happening at an unprecedented pace to keep pace with the new-age applications with extreme performance requirements. One such example of a modern networked application with immense potential to transform remote interaction is "Tactile Internet (TI)". Through haptic feedback resulting from interaction with objects in a remote environment, one can transfer skills to remote environments. In this project, we set out to build a TI hardware platform over a real 5G testbed. This enables us to carry out realistic experimental evaluations that contribute significantly to Industry 4.0 advancement. Further, with this infrastructure and person-hours, we will develop novel communication algorithms for the successful demonstration of Tactile Internet.
