Project description
The aziridine moiety represents one of the most valuable three-membered building blocks in organic synthesis. This PhD-project comprises the preparation and use of 2-substituted 2-(bromomethyl)aziridines as novel synthons in heterocyclic chemistry. Particular attention will be paid to the study of regio- and stereoselective ring-opening reactions and ring transformations towards biologically relevant target compounds.
