Project description

Electromagnetic devices, such as rotation electrical machines and transformers, produce vibrations and noise. Major sources are magnetic forces and magnetostriction in the ferromagnetic cores. The main goal in this project is to diminish those vibrations and noise. Several steps are required, such as the accurate measurement and modelling of magnetostriction and the study and implementation of multi-objective optimization procedures.
