Project description

Biological pest control is a cornerstone of sustainable crop protection in agriculture. Various beneficial organisms are already used in practice to combat key pests in agriculture and horticulture, thus helping to reduce the use of chemical crop protection products. The emergence of new pest organisms in our crops requires a search for new natural enemies. To increase the efficiency of the new and existing natural enemies, research is needed into their ecology, as well as their mass production, release and support in the crop. The focus is on the potential of predatory insects and mites.
