Project description
The paleobotanical reconstruction of suspected glacial refugia will be conducted by qualitative and quantitative anatomical research (e.g. 3-D X-ray tomography, 14C dating) and the analysis of stable isotope ratios of archaeological wood from the collections of the RMCA and from new samples. To support this research, an ecological characterisation of (living) indicator species and their surrounding habitat will be made.
