Project description

By means of princely and seigniorial transfer rights on real estate transactions, a source which has been used only little, the evolution of the rural land market in the Southern Low Countries during the 15th and 16th centuries shall be analysed. Central questions are the regional differences, the relationship between economic development and the land market and, finally processes of concentration and polarization of landed property.
