Project description

Increased concerns related to sustainable water management in arid and semi-arid drylands around the world, have let to the development of new technologies that try to increase water availability in regions with water scarcity. Some of these techniques (e.g fog harvesting) have achieved their goal of increasing water supply in some areas while they failed to do so in others, due to social, economical or environmental constraints. Therefore, it is now time to present these experiences through a lessons learnt approach, that can lead to the effective implementation of water augmentation strategies in regions where water scarcity is threatening sustainable development.
