Project description

The main goal of research is to gain insight in the functioning of deep-sea benthos ecosystems. More specific the role of meiofauna in the C-flux of deep-sea sediments and the relation with their biodiversity will be studied, at different locations with contrasting food regimes. The main emphasis will be given to identification of the trophic position en potential selectivity of nematoda.
