Project description

On request of WHO, the Laboratory of Parasitology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Ghent University) applied for becoming the WHO Collaborating Centre (CC) for the monitoring of anthelmintic efficacy against Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura and hookworms, the so called soil-transmitted helminths. The 4-year mandate started in 2009. This project provides fincanial support to the Laboratory of Parasitoology to perform this mandate.
