Project description
The relationships within Cyperus (Cyperaceae) are still unclear. This study will help with the reconstruction of a molecular 'backbone' of Cyperus. Emphasis will be put on the taxa with C photosynthesis and on the origins of the C4 clade. A descriptive and phylogenetic revision of the C3 group will be established and made available by means of an interactive database.
