Project description
Vietnam is among the countries which discharge most plastic matter into the ocean. Once transported into the sea, especially microplastics (> 0.1 μm, < 5 mm) interact with the fauna including potentially the benthos. For the first time, microplastic pollution in different beach environments in Vietnam is analysed and their interaction with the associated benthos investigated, in combination with the present physical processes.
