Project description
Heat stress in military personnel wearing protective clothing impairs performance and health; optimizing thermophysiological comfort is essential for operational effectiveness. The project aims to optimize the cooling/heating and moisture balance capacities of functional clothing for Belgian Defense scenarios. This involves identifying comfort issues with current clothing, applying and testing novel cooling technologies, and evaluating the impact on operational capability and performance through objective and subjective wear trials.
