Project description

During the first phase of the project, an alpha-prototype will be developed. We will collect data from the Ghent University Hospital of +/- 100 patients who had brain surgery to optimize and validate our software framework. The goal is to automate the whole framework as much as possible so it requires a minimum of manual intervention. For the alphaprototype, we aim to reach a sensitivity and specificity higher than the latest published results to determine the epileptic focus. The time we need to spend for one analysis has to be the second phase of the project. During this trial we will further refine our technology, improve the user-interface and the online software architecture in order to end up with a beta-prototype that is ready for commercial services.
