Project description

Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric methods will be set up for the determination of the water soluble vitamins thiamine and folate, starting from blood microsamples. Dried blood spot-based methods will be automated and applied in an epidemiological study. These methods are a useful tool allowing the determination of micronutrient deficiencies and evaluating possible
(preventive) treatments.
