Project description
Dopamine and μ-opioid receptors, two GPCRs, play a major role in pain and addiction. We will evaluate the direct interaction between these GPCRs in native tissue. Next we will study the effect on ligand binding and signal transduction. Towards this end we will develop heterobivalent ligands, which are able to bind both receptors at
the same time.
