Project description
Insects, due to their size, absorb more power from radio-frequency electromagnetic fields, when they are operating in the mm-wave spectrum. This can harm the already declining insect populations. Likewise, insects can affect mm-wave antennas’ performance. In this research, the interaction between insects and 5G antennas is characterized numerically and experimentally.
