Project description

To study precipitation extremes, extreme events will be sampled from long-term low-resolution climate simulations, and rerun at high resolution. The ability of this methodology to correctly reproduce the statistical properties of extreme precipitation will be investigated. These cases will then be simulated for different climates, where tracking individual air parcels will give new insights into the involved physical processes.
