Project description

The project's aims is to give a description and analysis of the image and functions of saints in the popular magic of the Orthodox East Slavs. On the diachronic level, the project aims at displaying the real mutual relationships between the factors which have shaped the cult of saints. The material will be described according to a formally elaborated scheme, the so called 'cognitive definition'.
