NMR EC is an existing centre of expertise for structure characterisation and molecular analysis in chemical, biochemical, biomedical and materials sciences. Its mission is to formalize the exploitation of the five NMR equipment platforms within the Faculty of Sciences, consolidate the knowledge and research expertise developed over the years within the NMR and Structure Analysis unit (together with its collaborative partners), while ensuring a sustainable long term operational structure. The goal of the Core Facility application is to provide the expertise centre, which was established following the previous centres of expertise initiative (2018) with the visibility and the support to reach long term and sustainable operation. As such, it will provide access to the NMR infrastructure and advanced scientific knowledge and expertise in the field of NMR spectroscopy for molecular analyses for the entire UGent Research Community and beyond.
