Project description

Veg-i-Trade addresses challenges and problems related to food safety within the global supply chain of fresh produce. Veg-i-Trade (multidisciplinary project, 23 partners, UGent is coordinator) assesses the risks, risk factors and the impact of control measures of chemical and microbiological food safety hazards. A broad range of tools is being applied such as risk assessment models, sampling and analysis plans, field studies (pre- and post-harvest), diagnostic instruments and risk communication.
