Project description

This qualitative research project aims to gain indigenous knowledge about the coping strategies of residents in sub-urban “ger” areas of Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) that can inform the further development of social work theory and practice. Two central theoretical concepts, developed in the field of migration and poverty studies, are used: (1) sense of belonging, and (2) aspirations to use social resources.
