Project description

This research focuses on the typology, function and provenance determination of the millstones used in Thorikos from the Bronze Age to Byzantine times. It aims to provide additional data on ancient trade flows, to answer some questions about the use of Olynthus mills and to document as systematically as possible a category of artefacts that is in many cases overlooked.
