Project description

This project aims at conducting historical comparative analysis of partner choice according to social background, geographical origin and age based on large-scale international datasets. Using these databases, we will test the modernization hypothesis and alternative hypotheses conserning the evolution of societal openness. Special attention will be given to trends, the interrelatedness of differential partner choice criteria and vulnerable groups.
