Anisakidae are marine fishborne parasites that may cause disease in human after consumption of infected/contaminated foodstuffs. In this project, the consumer risk will be assessed by studying the different food chains and foodstuffs, including the fishmeal feed component and the transmissibility of allergens to aquacultured fish and livestock. Recommendations will be formulated to guide the foodsafety authorities for improved control.
